A Tale of Two Quilts
It was the best of times; it was the worst of times… so goes the first sentence of Tale of two Cities - my high school English teacher would be proud! Did you have to memorize that introduction?
I’d like to tell you my tale of making 2 quilts from this beautiful Marble and Stardust collection!

This had to be a quilt, to show the dramatic fabrics. I originally chose a stardust background – used my EQ to design the quilt and I thought it looked ok – I liked the design.
However, I should have listened to my gut and acknowledged that the value of the background was equal to the block colors…hindsight!
So, after the quilt was made up and quilted….. (and the quilting is beautiful!!)…

I felt this did not show the fabric in the best light.
Yes, I decided to make another – with a light background! To complement the Marbles, the background used this time is a Champagne Fairy Frost – now the colors pop!
This is the SECOND quilt, back from the quilter…just in time for Quilt Market – quick! Need to bind!

And here we are at Quilt Market, at the Michael Miller booth! Whew! We made it!

So – how about a giveaway? We have a 25 piece fat quarter bundle to give away! What glamorous creation can you think of for Marbles and Stardust? Inquiring minds want to know!
