Christmas in July – Before and After

I feel so (sew) lucky to be able to use the Home for the Holidays collection from Michael Miller Fabrics!!

Here is the Fold n Stitch Wreath with this line for our booth at Quilt Market in May. This is the before picture - see bottom left:

The wreath is attached to my demo table!

I felt that this wreath just didn’t look as fun and cute as the fabric – so – REWORK time!! I took it apart.

Here are my before squares (striped edge appears at the front):

To jazz up my wreath I decided to add an applique in the back, to see how it would work. After I added that, I decided to add rickrack too – after all – more is more! (Just kidding, not usually!)

The front is the same, the back is snazzy with rickrack!!

After starting to assemble as usual, I noticed that I still wasn’t satisfied. I ended up alternating front and back to come up with this festive wreath!

Here is the final design - ready for a party!

Take time to listen to that crazy little voice in the back of your head – she knows when you need to change things up a bit!

Merry Christmas! Is that too early?
