Last Minute Gift Giving
It's mid-November, and the weather outside is turning frightful (at least up here in NH!) I must admit, I have not started my holiday sewing yet! I need a list, quick!
Poorhouse Quilt Designs has teamed up with Seams Like a Dream Quilts, Fat Quarter Gypsy and Swirly Girls Design to bring you A Maker’s Guide to Gift Giving.
Our gift guide debuted in the November issue of AQS magazine! Hmmm, we thought, let's get blogging and think of some more last minute gift giving ideas! I hope you will read on and then visit my buddies' sites for even more ideas. So, let's get going!
What do you get for that College Student, she needs something to brighten up her dorm room? How about Carefree Cacti! No watering required! Check - done!
I think for the newlywed couple, they might need something to feather their little love nest - so I think keeping it on the small side will do. How about a Tea Leaf Table Square? This little gem measures just 16" square, and can be made modern or traditional!
For Grandmas and Grandpas - it can be a chore to put up a tree - how about making a tree from your scraps? We have just the ticket with our Tabletop Tannenbaum! You can add miniature LED lights and boom! It's Christmas!
Let's not forget the families with little ones! Wouldn't they enjoy these appliqued table mats that include fun minky texture on their table on Christmas morning? Rudolph and Company features 9 reindeer and of course one nose must be a red button! Santa Go Round is a fun gaggle of Santas around a snowflake. Fun and easy to make!
Now that I have given you some ideas - I better get going on my sewing too! See you at the quilt shop! Wait - shouldn't I be using my stash?
Keep stitching!
Kris
