In case you haven’t heard, Tammy Silvers from Tamarini’s is introducing a new line from Island Batik called Speakeasy! Take a look at those dreamy colors – these are the colors of November! They remind me of the soft silvery light that is waning by the end of this month.

So what did I make with this Speakeasy batiks? I made these pretty scalloped baskets! These baskets start with fun and easy strip piecing and ends with easy stitching around the pre-cut Bosal Craf-tex scalloped placemats and scalloped squares. So the nice thing about stitching these baskets is that you don’t have to cut the scallops, Bosal does! Great hostess gift - check it out at our retail partner, Stina's Quilt and Sewing Supplies!

Did you notice the button in the last picture below? Those were designed especially for these baskets by yours truly - cut them on our laser cutter! Fun!
